Watching the show tonight it was easy to see that Atomic/Material/Particulate A.M.P.(physical) Time Travel(today coined by me) into the Future is far easier when traveling from higher gravity locations(low elevation Earth spots and Black Holes)to lower gravity locations(higher altitude places on Earth). They ran an experiment on the show and there was approximately 20 nanoseconds of faster A.M.P Time recorded on a higher elevation after the passage of 24 hours of time.
Virtual Time Travel on the other hand was not mentioned. With a very large deployment of ARE-RE(An array of light gathering probes) far into the future with advanced technology this may be possible. The probes will have to travel faster than the speed of light and the further they go they will be able to see further into the past as they gather light emitting from the Earth that has left it long ago. Virtual Time Travel will also be almost impossible. V.Time Travel into the future will also be much more easily achievable from the technology standpoint because the gathering of the current light of Earth and other measurable data from the Earth could be used by a powerful computer to make Virtual Prescience models of the Earth.
Another thing to consider is that we may deploy ARE-RE type probes nearer to Earth to do the intelligent inhabitants of Alien planets a favor by gathering their light from the distant past so they may see it at some time in the future.
Steven Hawking and the show's experiment participants believe that physical Time Travel into the past is really impossible.
