Obama, Denali and the Carthagenes Discover America

SInce I looked up Sumac recently and discovered that it is a Mediterranean spice I began thinking of all other evidence of the Phoenicians entering the Americas pre-Columbus and pre-Viking that is piling up in the modern record. There is Cathagina island named Carthagene in 1753 that is linguistically Native American which shares similarities to ancient and existing languages of the mediterranean including Hebrew. EVidence is piling up as Science advancesw that it is a smaller World than we like to think. Ribbed
Canoes. stone spear points east of the Mississippi river that are like the points from Europe and Asia. DNA evidence is the most powerful evidence that this is true and more than a theory.

ly defeat Carthage with a combination of reverse engineering captured Carthaginian ships, recruitment of experienced Greek sailors from the ranks of its conquered cities, the unorthodox corvus device, and their superior numbers in marines and rowers. In the Third Punic War Polybius describes a tactical innovation of the Carthaginians, augmenting their few triremes with small vessels that carried hooks (to attack the oars) and fire (to attack the hulls).      early as T. C Johnston's 1892 book, Did the Phoenicians Discover America?. Work on Phoenician coins carried out by Mark McMenamin suggests that gold coins minted in Carthage between 350 and 320 B.C.E. may depict a map of the Americas.[5] Some have speculated that the Phoenicians may even have colonized the Americas. Thor Heyerdahl's Ra I and Ra I expeditions were designed to prove that Egyptian ships could have crossed the Atlantic but could also be applied to the Phoenicians, who were renowned for their seamanship and who were often employed as sailors and explorers by the Egyptians. Some first century peruvian pottery resembles Phoenician pottery. Wreckage of Phoenician ships and an inscription on a rock in Brazil suggests Phoenicians had visited there.

Phoenicia was an ancient civilization centered in the north of ancient Canaan, with its heartland along the coastal plains of what is now Lebanon. Phoenician civilization was an enterprising maritime trading culture that spread across the Mediterranean during the first millennium B.C.E. Though ancie…
