Capitalism is a wonderful thing and religion is a wonderful thing too but they haven't solved all our economic/existential woes. Vestigial may be too strong a word to describe them. They should be seen as symbiotes perhaps or body Organs of an ever increasing evolving human animal. Beneficial bacteria like acidophilus are harmful if your stomach starts to produce too many of them. More body organs to are complex
system are needed aside from the angry search for remedies today.
